Kogod Now / Fall 2011 Issue

On September 14, 2011, we launched the second issue of Kogod Now, which explores health care—specifically targeted marketing and consumer disclosures, and their role in consumers’ food choices. The cover story—Eat Your Heart Out—draws on faculty research, government data, and real-life narratives to examine the causes of the childhood obesity epidemic and some of the budding solutions to combat it. Beyond targeted marketing, faculty and practitioners shed light on optimizing patient care, e-government implementation, and the relationship between aging, the labor market, and caregiving responsibilities.
